To accommodate the huge number in the women’s 2018 squad, two teams were fielded in 2019, one in Premier Section, and one in Premier Reserve Section.
For the men, youth was again the theme in 2019. The Firsts played 43 players, 32 played their first game, and the average age was less than 23. The Reserves managed only 2 wins but played 67 players!

Anthony Larkey, Charles Beasley & Alex Emery were selected in the VAFA U19 State team.

Imogen Barnett won the Women’s Premier Section best & fairest award, and Vanessa Murphy the Women’s Premier Section’s Coaches Most Valuable Player Award.
After 8 rounds the Firsts were in the relegation zone in 9th position with 1 win and 7 losses. The Reserves were 9th (2-7), the U19s 6th (5-4), the 3rds 8th (0-7). The Women’s Premier Section team was on top of the ladder with 7 wins and 2 losses. The Women’s Premier Reserves team was 8th on 2-7.
At the end of the season, the Firsts had held on, climbing out of relegation territory to 8th with 5-11-2 – but they had to win their last game against De La Salle to do so. The Reserves were 10th (2-16), the U19s 6th (11-7) and the 3rds 8th at 0-7 - regrettably, due to a desperate shortage of players, the 3rds team had to be withdrawn from the competition after 7 rounds. But the Women’s Premier Section team had powered on, finishing on top with 12 wins and only 2 losses. The Women’s Premier Reserve team had climbed to 6th with 4-10.
The U19s Division 1 had twelve teams. A final 6 finals series was played, and we participated from sixth position. A good start was made, defeating Old Ivanhoe in the 1st semi-final.

Despite their wonderful season, losing only two games and finishing minor premiers, the Women’s team had a disappointing finals series, going out in straight sets.
