Harry Tinney was selected in the VAFA state team.
Determined to go one better in 2016, after 9 rounds the Firsts sat 2nd on the ladder with 6 wins, 2 losses and 1 draw. The Reserves were 4th (6-3), the 3rds 6th (3-4). The U19s were 9th at 1-8.
The First kept up their momentum and sat on top of the ladder at the end of the season with 13 wins, 4 losses and a draw. The Reserves held on to 4th spot at 11-7. The 3rds also finished 4th (6-6-1). The U19s were having a tough year and slipped to 10th with 2-15.
In the second semi-final the First made short work of Uni Blues to go straight into their second grand final in a row.

Old Xaverians joined us in the grand final having won the first semi-final, and the preliminary final. The grand final was a low scoring game in which accurate kicking for goal would be crucial. We trailed by 9 points at three quarter time. As in 2015, in the second half, we had more shots than the opposition, and outscored Xavs, but our return of 3-9 to Xavs 4-1 saw them run out 7 point winners. Heartbreak again.

The Reserves were outclassed in their first semi-final against St Kevins, losing by 58 points.
