Adam Andrews succeeded Brett Chandler as coach of the Firsts.
Brendan Iezzi won the A Section Best and Fairest. Sam Stacker topped the U19 goal kicking with 62 goals. Luke Pacconi was selected in the VAFA U23 team, and Daniel Ahearne in the U19 team.
We managed to avoid relegation by finishing four points clear of Old Melburnians, but with an inferior percentage. Two draws during the season didn’t help! At halfway, the Firsts were 8th with 2-6-1, and that’s where we stayed, finishing with 5 wins, 11 losses and 2 draws. The Reserves were 9th at halfway (1-8), and that too is where they stayed (3-15). The 3rds were 9th (and last) at both junctures, losing their first 8 games, but “coming home with a wet sail” to finish with 2-12. The one high point was the U19s in Division 3 topping the ladder at both the halfway mark (4-5), and at season’s end (9-7).
The U19s were soundly beaten by Marcellin in the second semi-final.

But they bounced back to defeat Old Essendon in the preliminary final.

Sadly, disappointment awaited! In the U19s grand final Marcellin were again much too strong.
